Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Node.js Backend Developer with strong experience in PostgreSQL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing server-side logic, creating efficient database queries, stored procedures, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable and robust backend services using Node.js.
• Design, implement, and optimize PostgreSQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
• Integrate front-end components with server-side logic.
• Ensure performance, security, and responsiveness of applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong experience with Node.js and its frameworks (e.g., Express.js, NestJS).
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL, including query optimization, joins, indexing, and stored procedures.
• Experience in writing complex queries, functions, triggers, and procedures.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and integration with frontend applications.
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git).
• Understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with ORMs like Sequelize, TypeORM, or Prisma.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Understanding of containerization tools like Docker.
• Exposure to microservices architecture.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
