Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Backend Developer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in backend development, strong command of Node.js, cloud infrastructure (especially AWS), and a forward-thinking mindset with the ability to leverage modern tools—including Gen AI—to improve efficiency and productivity.
Responsibilities: ● Develop and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js (Express.js or similar frameworks) ● Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices ● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features and scalable systems ● Work with AWS services such as EC2, Route 53, RDS, and S3 ● Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability ● Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend issues effectively ● Leverage AI-powered developer tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, CodeWhisperer) to enhance coding speed and reduce repetitive tasks ● Participate in code reviews, peer learning, and continuous improvement initiatives ● Stay current with emerging technologies, especially in AI-assisted development and backend architecture trends
Must Have: ● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 1-2 years of experience in backend development ● Strong proficiency in Node.js and backend frameworks like Express.js ● Good experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS ● Familiarity with database systems like MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL ● Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures ● Proficiency with Git and collaborative version control workflows ● Experience using or willingness to adopt Gen AI tools to boost productivity and automate routine development tasks ● Solid grasp of Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle ● Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
