Backend Developer

Job Title: Backend Developer (Node.js)

We are seeking a Backend Developer with at least 2 year of professional experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Node.js, REST API development, Git version control, MySQL, and MongoDB, along with a basic understanding of frontend technologies. You should be comfortable working with Linux (Ubuntu) environments, handling file systems, and integrating APIs. Experience with authentication, scalability, and performance optimization will be a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications using Node.js.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs for frontend and third-party integrations.
• Work with AJAX and API integration for seamless client-server communication.
• Handle file uploads, file system operations, and storage management.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure smooth integration between UI and backend.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
• Work with relational and non-relational databases: MySQL (queries, joins, procedures) and MongoDB (schemas, aggregation, indexing).
• Deploy and manage applications in Linux/Ubuntu environments.
• Use Git version control for code management, branching, and code reviews.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve backend-related issues.
• Participate in agile workflows including sprint planning, stand-ups, and code reviews.

Requirements

• 2 year of professional experience as a Backend Developer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Hands-on experience with:
• RESTful API development
• AJAX & API integration
• File handling (uploads, downloads, storage)
• Git version control
• MySQL (database design, queries, optimization)
• MongoDB (document modeling, indexing, aggregation)
• Working knowledge of Linux/Ubuntu commands & environments.
• Basic understanding of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for integration.
• Familiarity with authentication/authorization (JWT, OAuth, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and optimization skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice-to-Have (Optional Skills)

• Experience with Microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.).
• Exposure to Docker or containerization.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Knowledge of GraphQL.
