Job Title: Java Developer – Portal & Web Applications A dedicated Java Developer with 5-8 years of professional experience in the analysis, design, development, and deployment of internet/intranet portal applications. Proven expertise in building secure, scalable, and efficient web-based systems using modern Java technologies. Key Skills & Experience: Strong proficiency in Java (Java 1.8) with hands-on development of web applications. Experienced in portlet development (JSR 168 & JSR 286) including View, Edit, Help modes along with custom Themes and Skins. Solid working knowledge of Spring Boot and Spring Security frameworks for secure, microservices-based architecture. Proficient in developing RESTful web services and Login/Security portlets for enterprise-level systems. Expertise in Hibernate ORM for seamless database interaction. Strong experience with MySQL and integration of relational databases into applications. Competent in troubleshooting, monitoring, and optimizing WebSphere applications. Familiar with Tomcat server deployment and configuration. Hands-on experience with Git for version control and collaboration. Developed multi-tier applications following MVC architecture and service-oriented principles. Sound knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) , including development and testing phases.
