Backend Developer Job Description Job Title: Backend Developer Portal and Web Applications A developer with 5 years of professional experience in the analysis, design, development, and deployment of internet/intranet applications. Proven expertise inbuilding secure, scalable, and efficient web-based systems. This role covers all backend development so it requires Java skills but other web developer skills such as REST, python, node.js, JavaScript, HTML, CSS are a big asset. Key Skills and Experience: Strong proficiency in Java with hands-on development of web applications. Proficient in developing RESTful web services and Login/Security portlets for enterprise-level systems. Strong proficiency in integration of relational databases into applications. Competent in troubleshooting, monitoring, and optimizing web-based applications. Hands-on experience with Git for version control and collaboration. Sound knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including development and testing phases. Technical Skill Set: Primary Programming Language: Java - Core JAVA, JDBC, Servlets, JSP, Web Services. Portlet (JSR 186/286), Spring Additional Programming: Python, Node.js Technologies: REST, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON.
