Business Development Manager | Team Lead | B2C Sales Manager – EdTech & Study Abroad Location: Bangalore, India Type: Full-time | Early-Stage | High Ownership Role Experience: 3-5 Years in Sales (preferably EdTech) About Us: Our client is a young, mission-driven EdTech founded in collaboration with Arizona State University. We're building innovative pathways for Indian students to pursue world-class education abroad, starting with programs across US, UK and beyond. Role Overview: We’re looking for a Manager | Team Lead who is not just a closer, but also a builder. This role requires someone who thrives in ambiguity, takes initiative, and can drive both strategy and execution. You will play a critical role in driving revenue, leading early GTM efforts, and managing a small but growing sales team. Key Responsibilities Own the entire sales funnel from lead nurturing to closing deals, delivering against ambitious monthly and quarterly revenue targets Manage and mentor a small business development team, setting daily rhythms, targets, and coaching them toward performance Build and optimize sales playbooks, scripts, and CRM processes tailored for our study abroad programs Conduct 1:1 counselling and closing with prospective students and families; high involvement in front-line sales Drive end-to-end ownership of the program’s performance across acquisition, conversion, and feedback loops Partner with marketing to generate leads and with ops to ensure a seamless application experience Identify and plug gaps in the process—whether it’s building a WhatsApp automation, rewriting SOP templates, or jumping on a late-night call with a student—you get things done Provide regular updates, insights, and growth experiments to leadership and stakeholders Roll up your sleeves and help build a scalable, efficient sales engine from the ground up Who You Are 3–5 years of experience in B2C sales, admissions, counselling, or business development—preferably in edtech, study abroad, or higher education domains Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, ideally in a high-volume, high-touch environment Strong team leadership or mentoring experience—even if informal Highly organized, self-driven, and extremely comfortable with ambiguity An excellent communicator, both in writing and on calls/video Comfortable using tools like CRM (HubSpot preferred), Google Sheets, Calendly, WhatsApp Business, etc. A hustler’s mindset: “Whatever it takes” attitude to move the needle Bonus: Experience launching new programs or working in startup/zero-to-one environments Why Join Us?
