The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric, particularly in developing ETL pipelines, transforming and modeling data, and integrating data from multiple sources. This is a full-time, work-from-office role based in Pune. Key Responsibilities : ● Design and develop end-to-end data solutions on Microsoft Fabric, including ingestion, transformation, storage, and serving layers. ● Build robust ETL pipelines using Fabric Data Factory to integrate data from various sources such as SaaS applications, APIs, and databases into OneLake. ● Perform data transformation and cleansing using Fabric Data Engineering (Spark) to meet business needs. ● Create data models and design Lakehouses and Data Warehouses within Microsoft Fabric. ● Implement data validation, quality checks, and monitoring to ensure data integrity. ● Optimize data pipelines for high performance, scalability, and fault tolerance. ● Integrate Microsoft Fabric with Azure services and on-premises systems where necessary. ● Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective data solutions. ● Maintain detailed documentation of data flows, designs, and system architecture. ● Stay updated with new Microsoft Fabric features, best practices, and emerging trends. ● Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on the team. Required Skills & Experience: ● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. ● 6+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering and ETL pipeline development. ● Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure data services: Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Data Lake Storage. ● Proven experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Data Factory, Data Engineering (Spark), and Lakehouses. ● Proficiency in SQL, Kusto Query Language (KQL – must-have ), Python, and PySpark. ● Solid understanding of data modeling techniques (Kimball, Inmon) and data warehousing principles. ● Skilled in designing and maintaining scalable, high-performance data pipelines. ● Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. ● Strong documentation and collaboration abilities. Preferred Qualifications: ● Master’s degree in a relevant field. ● Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate. ● Experience with real-time data processing tools (e.g., Kafka, Azure Stream Analytics). ● Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD practices (e.g., Azure DevOps). ● Understanding of data governance, privacy, and security standards. ● Experience migrating legacy data systems to modern cloud-based platforms.
