Azure Data Engineer

Job Title: Azure Data Engineer Experience Required: 5+ Years Location: Remote Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Azure Data Engineer with 5 years of experience in building and optimizing data pipelines and architectures using Azure services. The ideal candidate will be proficient in big data processing, ETL/ELT pipelines, and Azure-based data solutions. You will work closely with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data quality, availability, and performance. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines using Azure Data Factory , Databricks , and Azure Synapse Analytics Ingest data from multiple sources (structured, semi-structured, and unstructured) into Azure Data Lake / Data Warehouse Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for data transformation and integration Ensure data integrity and implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for pipelines Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to support advanced analytics and machine learning use cases Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data solutions using tools like Azure DevOps Implement data security , governance , and compliance best practices Performance tuning and query optimization of SQL-based solutions on Azure Required Skills: Strong experience with Azure Data Factory , Azure Synapse , Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) , and Azure Databricks Solid hands-on experience in SQL , PySpark , Python , or Scala Proficiency in designing and implementing data models , partitioning , and data lake architectures Experience with Azure SQL Database , Cosmos DB , or SQL Server Knowledge of Azure DevOps , Git , and CI/CD processes Understanding of Delta Lake , Parquet , ORC , and file formats used in big data Familiarity with data governance frameworks and security models on Azure Preferred Qualifications: Azure certification: Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Experience integrating data from on-premises to cloud environments Familiarity with Power BI , Azure Monitor , Log Analytics , or Terraform for infrastructure provisioning Show more Show less
