Job Description

Pre-Sales Consultant – AWS Consulting Partner

The Pre-Sales Consultant will lead technical pre-sales efforts to design and present AWS-based cloud solutions to prospective clients. This role requires a strong understanding of AWS services, excellent communication skills, and the ability to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Solution Architects, Delivery Teams, and AWS Partner Managers to build tailored, scalable, and cost-effective cloud architectures.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Minimum 5 years of total experience, with at least 2–3 years in a pre-sales or solution consulting role.
  • Understand customer requirements and architect AWS solutions that align with their business and technical goals.
  • Create and deliver impactful presentations, demos, and Proof of Concepts (POCs) to demonstrate AWS capabilities.
  • Collaborate with sales teams in identifying, qualifying, and converting opportunities.
  • Respond to RFPs/RFIs with clear and concise technical input, architecture diagrams, and solution documents.
  • Provide technical guidance throughout the sales cycle, including scoping, estimations, and solution fitment.
  • Stay updated on AWS offerings and help enable internal teams on new service rollouts and best practices.
  • Participate in client workshops, discovery sessions, and solution deep-dives.
  • Build and maintain strong technical relationships with AWS, clients, and internal stakeholders.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of AWS pre-sales or solutioning experience in a consulting or partner environment.
  • Solid understanding of AWS services across compute, storage, networking, security, and DevOps (e.g., EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, VPC, CloudFormation, etc.).
  • Ability to design secure, scalable, and cost-optimized AWS architectures.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Familiarity with AWS pricing, cost estimation tools, and TCO modelling.
  • Knowledge of solution selling, consultative selling, and value-based selling approaches.
  • Must be self-motivated, customer-focused, and work well independently or within cross-functional teams.


Nice to Have (Preferred but not mandatory):

  • AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional.
  • Familiarity with the AWS Well-Architected Framework and other AWS best practices.
  • Experience in migration assessments, cloud readiness evaluations, or cost optimization engagements.
