AWS Data Tech Lead

Introduction to the Role

We are seeking a Data Tech Lead with 6–10 years of experience, based in Chennai/Hyderabad (On-site). The role involves leading the design and implementation of modern data platforms, data engineering pipelines, and data lake/warehouse solutions, while providing technical leadership and ensuring best practices in delivery.

Accountabilities

• 
  Lead the design and implementation of data architecture, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data warehouse/lake solutions.
• 
  Provide technical leadership to a team of data engineers, including coding, testing, and deployment best practices.
• 
  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions.
• 
  Ensure compliance and data security best practices are applied across all projects.
• 
  Drive adoption of modern data engineering and cloud-native approaches.

Essential Skills / Experience

• 
  6–10 years of experience in data architecture and analytics.
• 
  Strong expertise in Databricks for data processing, machine learning, and analytics.
• 
  Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) and integration with Databricks.
• 
  Solid background in data engineering concepts, data modelling, and ETL processes.
• 
  Advanced SQL for querying, transformation, and analysis.
• 
  Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, scripting, and automation.
• 
  Strong experience with Apache Airflow for orchestration and scheduling ETL workflows.
• 
  Familiarity with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, etc.).
• 
  Knowledge of data warehousing and data modelling best practices.
• 
  Proficiency with version control systems (Git).
• 
  Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Desirable Skills / Experience

• 
  Relevant Databricks and cloud certifications.
• 
  Exposure to advanced analytics and ML pipelines.
• 
  Experience mentoring junior engineers in data engineering best practices.
