Job Description

Industry & Sector:

Cloud data engineering and analytics services serving enterprise customers. We build scalable ETL pipelines, data lakes and analytics platforms on AWS to enable data-driven decisioning across finance, retail, and SaaS domains.

Role:

AWS Data Engineer (On-site, India) — responsible for designing, building and operating robust AWS-native data platforms that deliver reliable batch and near-real-time data to analytics and ML teams.Role & Responsibilities

Design, build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines on AWS to ingest, transform and publish data across the enterprise data lake and warehouse.
Develop and optimise PySpark jobs and Glue ETL scripts to process large datasets with a focus on reliability and cost-efficiency.
Implement and maintain data storage solutions using S3 and Amazon Redshift, including schema design, partitioning and performance tuning.
Orchestrate workflows and job scheduling using Apache Airflow (or managed Airflow) and implement monitoring, alerting and retry strategies.
Define and apply infrastructure-as-code for data platform components using Terraform or CloudFormation; participate in CI/CD for data pipelines.
Collaborate with data scientists, analytics and QA teams to translate business requirements into production-grade data models, SLAs and observability.

Additional Qualifications

Proven track record delivering production data pipelines on AWS and troubleshooting data quality, performance and cost issues.
Strong SQL and data modelling skills; experience with dimensional modelling and columnar storage best practices.
Comfortable working on-site in India and collaborating across engineering, analytics and product teams to meet SLAs.
