As an AVP, Sourcing at Synchrony, your role involves executing and overseeing the sourcing process, ensuring supplier compliance, reviewing contractual agreements, and developing sourcing category strategies for Global hubs. You will collaborate with Business leaders and Sourcing Leaders to manage and mitigate supplier and business risks effectively. **Key Responsibilities:** - Regularly meet with business owners and Sourcing Leaders to guide functional teams in developing comprehensive plans to meet business needs. - Demonstrate expertise in Global Supply markets (US and Asia) and local compliance requirements for suppliers. - Drive sourcing initiatives to achieve productivity, cost savings, and rationalization opportunities. - Collaborate with Legal and business owners to review and modify contractual terms. - Monitor supplier compliance with regulatory and reputational requirements throughout the sourcing process. - Conduct RFIs/RFPs, market research, and competitive analysis of products and services. - Identify and implement sourcing strategies for various commodities based on Business requirements. - Monitor and report on Sourcing projects to ensure adherence to performance metrics. - Create materials for review with senior management teams as necessary. - Support in updating all purchasing-related SOPs. - Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. - Ability to work in a Global environment and support global working hours. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience in financial services or insurance, or 12+ years of progressive business experience. - Minimum of 10 years of experience in Sourcing, including category management, contract negotiations, supply chain management, and logistics. - Proficient in US working hours. **Desired Skills:** - Experience in Financial Services or Banking Industry. - Sourcing experience in Marketing Commodity. - Demonstrated project management skills. - Strong facilitation and presentation skills. - Quantitative and analytical skill set. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced environment. - Ability to manage complex initiatives across multiple platforms. - Independent worker with effective multitasking abilities. - Proficient in Microsoft Suite and other related software applications.
