As an Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Sourcing at Synchrony, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the sourcing process, ensure supplier compliance during on-boarding and renewal periods, review contractual agreements, and develop sourcing category strategies for Global hubs in the US and Asia. You will collaborate closely with Business leaders and Sourcing Leaders to manage and mitigate supplier and business risks effectively. Your essential duties will include meeting with business owners and Sourcing Leaders to provide guidance and develop comprehensive plans that align with business requirements. You will need to demonstrate expertise in Global Supply markets, drive sourcing initiatives to achieve productivity and cost-saving benefits, and ensure compliance with regulatory and reputational requirements throughout the sourcing process. To excel in this position, you should possess a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience in financial services or insurance, specifically in Supplier Risk Management, Operations, Customer Service, or Collections. Alternatively, 12+ years of progressive business experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. A minimum of 10 years of experience within Sourcing, including category management, contract negotiations, supply chain management, and logistics, is required. Desirable skills and knowledge include experience in the financial services or banking industry, sourcing of marketing commodities, project management skills, strong facilitation and presentation abilities, quantitative and analytical skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to manage complex initiatives independently.
