Job Description

Role Overview

The AVP Brand Strategy will lead the end-to-end brand charter, driving brand vision, positioning, and growth across FMCG and D2C channels. This role requires a strategic brand leader with strong experience in building, scaling, and managing consumer brands, translating business objectives into impactful brand strategies, and ensuring consistent brand storytelling across touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Strategy & Leadership

  • Own and lead the overall brand strategy, vision, and positioning across FMCG and D2C portfolios.
  • Define long-term brand roadmap aligned with business goals, consumer insights, and market trends.
  • Act as the brand custodian, ensuring consistency in brand tone, visual identity, and messaging across all platforms.

FMCG & D2C Growth

  • Drive brand growth across offline (GT/MT) and online (D2C, marketplaces, social commerce) channels.
  • Partner with sales, product, and category teams to support launches, extensions, and innovations.
  • Strengthen brand salience, consideration, and loyalty through integrated brand initiatives.

Consumer & Market Insights

  • Leverage consumer research, data, and insights to guide brand decisions and campaigns.
  • Monitor competition, category trends, and evolving consumer behavior to identify opportunities.

Integrated Marketing & Communication

  • Lead brand communication strategy across ATL, BTL, digital, social, influencer, and performance channels.
  • Oversee campaign planning, execution, and post-campaign evaluation to ensure ROI and impact.
  • Work closely with creative, media, and digital agencies to deliver best-in-class brand output.

Budget & Governance

  • Own and manage brand budgets effectively, ensuring optimal allocation and ROI.
  • Establish brand guidelines, processes, and governance frameworks.

Requirements

  • Experience in Brand Strategy / Brand Marketing roles.
  • Mandatory prior experience in

    FMCG and D2C brands

    .
  • Proven track record of building and scaling consumer brands.
  • Immediate Joiner preferred.
  • Strong understanding of omnichannel brand management (offline + digital-first).
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
  • Candidate must be from a relevant/related industry background (FMCG / D2C / Consumer Brands only).
