AV Programmer

You are a skilled Jr. AV Programming Engineer with 23 years of hands-on experience in audio-visual system design, programming, and integration. Your main responsibility in this role is to translate client requirements into detailed designs, program control systems, and support installations to ensure flawless project delivery. You should have a strong technical foundation, experience with major AV platforms, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with project teams. Your key responsibilities will include designing AV systems with schematics, layouts, and equipment specifications, programming and configuring control systems such as Crestron, Extron, AMX, and Q-SYS, integrating AV equipment with audio, video, and network systems, performing on-site system commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting, collaborating with project managers, sales, and installation teams to ensure designs meet client expectations, creating and maintaining technical documentation for projects, and providing technical support and training to clients/end-users as required. To qualify for this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, along with 23 years of proven experience in AV system design and control system programming. Proficiency with at least one major AV control platform (e.g., Crestron, Extron, AMX, Q-SYS), knowledge of AV networking protocols (e.g., Dante, AVB, HDBaseT), familiarity with CAD software for system schematics (AutoCAD or similar), strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work in cross-functional teams are essential. Preferred qualifications for this role include Crestron Certified Programmer, Extron Control Specialist, or Q-SYS Level certifications, experience with audio DSP configuration and video conferencing platforms such as Zoom, Teams, and Webex, basic IT networking knowledge (VLANs, IP configuration, switches), and exposure to project management workflows.,
