About The Role
Seeking a seasoned leader to head Software Engineering and Product Delivery for embedded, automotive. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing global teams, driving business growth, and overseeing site operations, with a proven track record in APAC and European markets. Key Responsibilities
Software Engineering Leadership: Lead and scale engineering teams (50"“300+), driving delivery for platform software, application software, and validation/integration projects. Site & Business Management: Oversee site operations, including P&L, feasibility studies, market research, and formation of new legal entities. Build and operationalize global capability centers1. Project & Program Management: Manage end-to-end delivery for complex projects in automotive, powertrain, lighting, and semiconductor domains. Ensure milestones are met for cost, quality, and deliverables. Additional domain experience in Telecommunication or Semiconductor is required to bring cross domain leverage to automotive. Process Excellence: Implement and maintain best practices in Agile, ASPICE, ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), and CI/CD methodologies. Drive process improvements and technical competency development. Business Development: Lead account mining, proactive proposals, RFPs, and strategic partnerships with universities, training institutes, and outsourcing companies. Cost Optimization: Identify and execute cost reduction strategies across employment, training, and project execution1. Talent Management: Recruit, mentor, and retain top talent. Conduct technical competency gap analysis and drive capability development initiatives. Customer Engagement: Manage key customer relationships, drive account growth, and ensure high-quality deliverables for Tier 1 clients in automotive and semiconductor sectors. Works in the area of Software Engineering, which encompasses the development, maintenance and optimization of software solutions/applications.1. Applies scientific methods to analyse and solve software engineering problems.2. He/she is responsible for the development and application of software engineering practice and knowledge, in research, design, development and maintenance.3. His/her work requires the exercise of original thought and judgement and the ability to supervise the technical and administrative work of other software engineers.4. The software engineer builds skills and expertise of his/her software engineering discipline to reach standard software engineer skills expectations for the applicable role, as defined in Professional Communities.5. The software engineer collaborates and acts as team player with other software engineers and stakeholders.
Our Ideal Candidate
17+ years in embedded, automotive, and telecom software engineering. Proven leadership in global engineering delivery, site management, and business development. Expertise in Agile, ASPICE, ISO 26262, CI/CD, and technical competency building. Strong background in project/program management, cost optimization, and process improvement. Experience with platform software, AUTOSAR, device drivers, bootloaders, and cybersecurity. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-cultural team leadership. Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering or related field. Experience working with NA, APAC, European, and Chinese markets. Track record of scaling teams and business units, including new site launches.
