Job Summary

We are seeking to hire qualified Automotive Inspection Engineers who will also serve as a business associate at our Nxcar locations to facilitate vehicle acquisition and sales. This is a hybrid role central to our business: you will be the technical expert responsible for meticulously inspecting vehicles for our procurement process. You will also be a face of Nxcar. engaging with customers and managing the end-to-end car procurement process at your assigned center. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in automobile engineering, an eye for detail, and excellent customer-facing skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Vehicle Inspection: Conduct comprehensive, multi-point technical inspections of used cars to evaluate their mechanical, electrical, and structural condition.
• Diagnostics & Valuation: Accurately, diagnose any issues, estimate potential repair costs, and provide a fair valuation for procurement
• Procurement Management: Manage the entire car procurement process at the retail location, from initial customer interaction to final paperwork and vehicle handover.
• Business Associate Duties: Act as a primary point of contact for customers (sellers) at the location, explaining the inspection and procurement process clearly and professionally
• Reporting: Prepare detailed and accurate inspection reports for internal records and pricing systems
• Documentation: Ensure all required vehicle documents (RC, insurance, service history) are collected, verified, and processed correctly.
• Mobility: Travel locally as needed to conduct inspections or complete procurement formalities.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Formal Training: A Diploma in Automobile Engineering OR a Motor Vehicle Mechanic Certification from a recognized ITI.
• Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of hands-on experience as an Inspection Engineer, Auto Mechanic, or Service Advisor in a reputed car workshop or dealership.
• Driver's License: A valid LMV (Light Motor Vehicle) Driver's License is mandatory.
• Mobility: Must own a personal vehicle (e.g. motorcycle or car) and will be willing to use it for local travel. Expenses for such travel will be reimbursed/
• Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of car mechanics, diagnostics, bodywork, and electrical systems.
• Soft Skills; must be professional, trustworthy, and customer-oriented.
• Attention to detail: Meticulous and thorough in all aspects of inspection and documentation.
