Automation Test Lead

As a QA Test Lead with 6+ years of experience, including 2 to 3+ years in a Test Lead role and 3+ years of hands-on experience with test automation tools and framework development, you will play a crucial role in ensuring quality is at the core of software development. Your primary responsibility will be to set test standards, support engineers, and emphasize that quality is the responsibility of everyone involved in the project. In this role, you will work closely with engineering teams in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, where software is shipped iteratively and frequently. Your focus will be on ensuring that not only do things work, but they work well together. By balancing automation with human insight and considering the end-user perspective, you will bring clarity, structure, and confidence to the testing process. Your duties will involve overseeing multiple engineering squads, leading automated testing efforts, defining and upholding test quality standards, and writing high-quality integration and end-to-end tests. Collaboration with engineers, product managers, and delivery leads will be essential to embed quality thinking from the outset and design effective test strategies that incorporate automation, exploratory testing, and regression coverage. You will be responsible for driving the implementation and evolution of automated testing frameworks, ensuring their integration into CI/CD pipelines, and maintaining the structure and health of test suites and regression packs. Supporting squads in various types of testing, facilitating collaboration sessions, and coaching engineers on quality will also be part of your role. To excel in this position, you should have a strong background in quality assurance, hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and API testing tools, and confidence in writing automated tests in Typescript. Your ability to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, facilitate BDD-style collaboration, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams will be crucial.
