Automation Lead Product validation (Python)

Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated test frameworks and tools using Python.

• Architect scalable automation solutions for product validation across hardware and software domains.
• Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and validation strategies for new and existing products.
• Analyze test results, identify issues, and drive root cause analysis in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Integrate automated validation into CI/CD pipelines and ensure continuous quality coverage.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers in automation best practices and Python development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, software, QA, product management) to define validation requirements and deliverables.
• Document automation processes, test results, and provide clear reports to stakeholders.
• Stay updated on the latest automation technologies, Python libraries, and industry best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in product validation, test automation, or software development.
• Strong expertise in Python programming and automation frameworks (e.g., Pytest, Robot Framework, Selenium, etc.).
• Proven experience designing and implementing scalable automated test solutions.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Experience mentoring or leading engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with hardware validation and automation in consumer electronics or embedded systems.
• Familiarity with other programming languages (e.g., Shell, C/C++, Java).
• Experience with cloud-based test infrastructure and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of test management tools and reporting dashboards.
• Experience working with global and cross-functional teams.
