Duties and Responsibilities

Test Automation Lead(Senior Consultant/Manager):

• Contribute to the overall test automation strategy with a focus on Selenium (Java) and JUnit framework, selecting appropriate libraries, design patterns, and best practices.

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable test automation frameworks for web applications using Selenium WebDriver with Java, and unit/integration testing using JUnit.

• Provide technical leadership and expertise in Java-based test automation to the QA teams and other stakeholders.

• Collaborate closely with developers, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration of automated tests into the SDLC.

• Conduct regular code reviews to ensure adherence to clean code principles, maintainability, and framework consistency.

• Ensure comprehensive test coverage for UI workflows, backend validations, and API integrations, leveraging Java-based frameworks.

• Integrate Selenium-JUnit test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) to enable continuous testing and faster feedback loops.

• Mentor and guide junior automation engineers, helping them enhance their Java, Selenium, and JUnit expertise.

• Foster a culture of test automation best practices, including Page Object Model (POM), Data-Driven Testing, and reusable test components.

• Develop automated reporting and dashboards (e.g., Allure, Extent Reports) for visibility into test execution and quality metrics.

• Provide stakeholders with clear and actionable reports on test automation coverage, defect trends, and overall product quality.

• Effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
