AutoCAD Draughtsman

Role & Responsibilities: Preparation of detailed AutoCAD drawings for Water & Wastewater Treatment Plants (STPs, WTPs, ETPs, MBBR, MBR, etc.). Drafting of general arrangement drawings (GA), piping layouts, equipment layouts, civil & structural drawings. Preparation of detailed equipment layouts including pumps, blowers, tanks, clarifiers, filters, aeration systems, and mechanical equipment. Development of piping drawings with pipe routing, valve positioning, and connection details. Drafting of electrical layouts (cable routing, panel room arrangement, MCC layouts, cable trench, earthing & lighting layouts). Preparation of as-built drawings and revision of existing drawings as per site modifications. Coordinating with design engineers to incorporate technical inputs into drawings. Ensuring drawings are accurate, updated, and comply with project standards, codes, and client requirements. Maintaining proper record, filing, and documentation of drawings. Assisting the project team during design review meetings, site clarifications, and handover documentation. Key Skills Required: Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D preferred). Knowledge of Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical drawings related to water & wastewater projects. Understanding of plant design concepts, piping layouts, and equipment arrangements. Familiarity with IS codes, relevant international standards, and client specifications. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and process flow diagrams. Good communication and coordination skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities. Preferred Experience: Experience in drafting for Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs), Water Treatment Plants (WTPs), Effluent Treatment Plants (ETPs), Pumping Stations, and related infrastructure projects. Exposure to multidisciplinary coordination (civil, mechanical, electrical & instrumentation). Hands-on experience in preparing shop drawings and construction drawings for site execution.
