Job Title: Draftsman – Architecture

Reporting To: Architect / Senior Architect

Job Summary:

The Architectural Draftsman will be responsible for preparing detailed architectural drawings, working drawings, and layouts as per design concepts provided by architects. The role requires accuracy, understanding of building systems, and proficiency in CAD software to convert design ideas into precise technical drawings for execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare architectural drawings, working drawings, sections, elevations, and construction details.

Convert conceptual sketches and design intent into technical drawings.

Coordinate with architects, interior designers, and site engineers to ensure design accuracy.

Prepare drawings for submission, approvals, and construction documentation.

Maintain and organize drawing files and revisions systematically.

Ensure compliance with building codes, bylaws, and company standards.

Assist in preparing BOQs, material specifications, and layout plans when required.

Update drawings based on site conditions, feedback, or design changes.

Work closely with vendors, consultants, and contractors to clarify technical details.

Skills & Competencies:

Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory), SketchUp, Revit, or similar design software.

Good understanding of architectural detailing, joinery, and materials.

Ability to interpret and visualize design concepts accurately.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Knowledge of municipal drawing standards and submission formats (preferred).

Qualifications:

Diploma or Degree in Architecture / Civil Drafting / Interior Design.

2–5 years of experience in architectural drafting or a similar role.

Experience in residential, commercial, or institutional projects preferred.

Work Environment:

Office-based role with occasional site visits.

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
