Audit Assistant

Job Responsibilities – Audit & Tax Executive 1. Audit Work (Statutory, Internal & Tax Audits): Conduct statutory audits, internal audits, stock audits, and compliance audits at client locations. Review books of accounts, ledgers, vouchers, and supporting documents. Prepare audit working papers as per firm standards. Identify irregularities, control gaps, and provide preliminary observations. Assist senior team members in drafting audit reports. 2. Taxation Work (Direct & Indirect): Prepare and file Income Tax Returns, GST Returns, TDS Returns, and other statutory forms. Assist in tax audits including preparation of Form 3CD and related annexures. Handle GST reconciliations, credit mismatch analysis, and compliance review. Support in responding to departmental notices, queries, and assessments. 3. Accounting & Compliance Support: Assist clients in routine accounting entries, finalisation activities, and MIS preparation when required. Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with Accounting Standards and tax laws. Coordinate with clients for collection of data, records, and information. 4. Field Work / Client Coordination: Visit client premises for audits, verification, and data collection. Ensure smooth communication between the client and the office team. Represent the firm professionally during client interactions. 5. Office Work: Prepare audit files, compliance calendars, and working papers. Update internal records, trackers, and follow-up lists for returns and deadlines. Participate in internal meetings, training sessions, and process improvements. Job Requirements – Skills & Qualifications B.Com / M.Com / Inter CA / Semi-qualified CA or any relevant accounting qualification. Strong knowledge of accounting, GST, Income Tax, and TDS provisions. Proficiency in Tally, Excel, and basic accounting software. Ability to travel for field work as required. Good communication skills for client interactions. Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple assignments. Detail-oriented, disciplined, and committed to quality work. Freshers with strong learning attitude may also apply.
