Asst. Manager - Buying & Merchandising

As an Assistant Manager in Buying & Merchandising at Teejh, a sister brand of Joker & Witch under JW BRANDS PVT LTD, your primary role will be to drive and optimize category buying, plan inventory flow, style forecasting, and vendors & supplier management specifically for the Saree Category. You will be responsible for designing, planning, buying, sourcing, and launching new collections & categories to shape the brand's product mix and identity. Additionally, you will be managing ecommerce listings, analyzing statistical data, overseeing sales growth across channels, liquidation management, and multi-channel sales management. Your keen eye for detail, love for Indian fashion, crafts, and in-depth understanding of Sarees & accessories categories will be crucial for excelling in this role. **Roles & Responsibilities:** - Managing end-to-end domestic sourcing & manufacturing of Sarees and new categories. - Handling vendors, orders/rejects/sampling/production related tasks. - Taking complete ownership of new collections and category growth. - Collaborating closely with the Cofounder & Design team for sampling and launching new styles. - Ensuring excellent quality of samples/production and managing any quality issues with the vendors. - Identifying and onboarding new vendors. - Negotiating pricing and managing timelines with vendors. - Maintaining category master sheets, replenishment cycles, and sell-through of styles. - Planning inventory and placing timely replenishment orders with vendors. - Creating/uploading catalog sheets on the website with correct pricing, pictures, tags, etc., to launch new products. - Analyzing and reporting channel-wise, category-wise, and product-wise sales. - Meeting monthly category sales targets. - Devising offers or liquidation plans for non-moving styles. - Understanding customer behavior, trends, and demands to launch collections/categories accordingly. - Staying updated on trends and competitor offerings in the ever-changing fashion landscape. - Coordinating with marketing, supply chain, creative team, finance, and other functions of the organization. **Desired Candidate Profile:** - Bachelors/Masters from NIFT or any other Fashion college with a keen interest & understanding of Sarees/Textiles/Ethnic wear category. - Fashion Merchandisers/designers, MFM graduates with 0-2 years of experience are encouraged to apply. - Keen interest in Sarees, Indian fashion, accessories, and trends. - Strong understanding of Indian textiles and techniques. - Preference given to candidates with a background in textile/fashion design. - Articulate presenter & speaker, strategic planner, dynamic, and goal-oriented. - Excellent communication skills and strong negotiation skills in English & Hindi. - Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. - Sense of fashion and aesthetics, along with a high energy, social, and outgoing persona. - Hands-on approach and ability to multitask in a fast-paced startup environment. - Team player willing to take up new tasks & challenges. - Bangalore-based candidates willing to join immediately will be given preference.
