Responsibilities and Duties

• Looking after E.D.P. Department
• Approval for New Systems and other IT/ITS requirements both software and hardware in the Company.
• Approval and Sanction for New requirements , procurements through purchase department
• Managing duties of EDP Staff.
• Planning for Networking in newly built departments.
• Future requirements planning .
• Co-ordination between all departments.
• Installing new system, upgradation of systems in various departments.
• Securities like Anti Virus, Internet Security and responsible for firewall etc.
• Daily backup management of all the data of company.
• Restore the data for user whenever required.
• Solve users problem at their sight or by other communication.
• Managing Exchange Server, email ids and other ITS requirements
• Managing all server data like new reports creation and other timely reports.
• Generally in some companies EDP Department also looks after payroll work as this is the confidential work.
• Fill the requirement of stationary, printer cartridge and all consumable.
• Monthly backup of Tapes / External Hard Drives.
• Creation of Original Software / systems list in the company.
• Managing wireless network.
• Photocopy machines, scanners, fax machines and PSC printers, laser printer, Dot Matrix Printer, Line printers all are come under the EDP Department.
• Training to the user about new systems, softwares , reporting methodology , usage of phones , explains EDP policy , training of system and softwares and HMS .
• Repair and reinstall the old systems and if not possible in company then make returnable gate pass and send them to the vendor for repair.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

Required Experience : 05 years in Hardware and networking

Skills and Qualifications : Networking and network certification
