The Red Hat Subscription Management team is looking for an Associate Software Engineer to join us in Pune, India. In this role, you will work on Red Hat Subscription Management which makes it easy for Red Hat customers to buy, download, deploy, and manage our products. It represents many important touchpoints that shape whether the customer has a good or bad experience. As part of this team, you'll be required to interpret test requirements for customer use cases and develop innovative automated solutions for testing real-world customer workflows.

What you will do
Participate actively in design reviews and story grooming to understand new features and bug fixes
Design, develop and maintain dev environments and automated test suites
Develop and maintain automation testing frameworks
Help maintain and improve our continuous testing approach
Serve as an internal advocate for our customers
Collaborate well to build strong relationships across a global team
Learn and adapt to new technologies quickly
What you will bring
1+ years of industry experience as a software engineer
Good experience in Python, Ruby, and/or Golang
Understand functions, classes, regex, conditionals, loops
Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or other Linux operating systems
Emphasis on virtualization or cloud computing, configuring, creating, and using VMs
Should understand package managers and repositories
Familiarity with Docker or Podman containers
Experience using Git, Github, or other source code repositories, preferably in a team setting
Experience maintaining pipelines in Jenkins or other continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) frameworks
Familiarity with agile development methodologies
Good verbal and written communication skills
The following will be a plus
Experience with Ansible playbooks
Experience contributing to relevant open source projects
Ability to work well in a team environment
Comfortable working in a team that is distributed globally
