Key Responsibilities

• Agile Ceremonies & Team Facilitation

• Facilitate or support

  daily standups, sprint planning, sprint review, and retrospectives

  .
• Ensure meetings start and end on time and have clear agendas and outcomes.
• Help the team maintain focus on sprint goals and commitments.

• Backlog & Sprint Management

• Work with

  Product Owners / Project Managers

  to ensure the

  product backlog is well-groomed

  , prioritized, and understood by the team.
• Assist in

  breaking down requirements into clear user stories / tasks

  with acceptance criteria.
• Help track sprint progress using

  Jira boards, burndown charts, and other reports

  .

• Removing Impediments

• Identify blockers and dependencies early and ensure they are raised to the

  right stakeholders

  .
• Coordinate with internal teams (Dev, QA, Design, DevOps) to resolve issues quickly.
• Escalate risks and delays to the

  Project Manager / Delivery Head

  in a timely manner.

• Process & Documentation

• Ensure disciplined use of

  Jira and Confluence

  for task tracking and documentation.
• Maintain

  sprint reports, MOMs, decisions, and action items

  .
• Support the implementation of Salt’s internal delivery framework (e.g.,

  SPARK: Scope Plan Architect Release Keep improving

  ).

• Client & Stakeholder Coordination

• Join

  client calls

  along with Project Manager / Tech Lead to note decisions, clarify requirements, and track follow-ups.
• Share

  clear and concise updates

  on sprint and project status with internal and external stakeholders.

• Continuous Improvement

• Capture and track

  action items from retrospectives

  .
• Suggest small process improvements that make delivery more predictable and efficient.
• Contribute to building a culture of

  ownership, transparency, and collaboration

  .

Required Skills & Experience

• 1–3 years

  of experience in

  Scrum Master / Agile Coordinator / Project Coordinator

  role in an

  IT / software development company

  .
• Basic understanding of:

• Agile principles & Scrum framework

  (roles, events, artifacts).
• Typical

  SDLC for web and software projects

  .
• Hands-on experience with

  Jira

  (or similar tools like Azure DevOps, Trello, etc.) for:
• Managing boards
• Creating / updating tasks
• Tracking sprint progress
• Strong

  communication skills

  (spoken and written English) – able to coordinate with developers, testers, and clients.
• Good

  organizational skills

  – managing multiple tasks, deadlines, and follow-ups.
• Ability to

  work with cross-functional teams

  and handle day-to-day project coordination.

Good-to-Have

• Certification

  such as:

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

• Professional Scrum Master (PSM I)

• Exposure to:

• Web application development

  projects (React, Next.js, Node.js, Laravel, Python, etc. – high-level understanding is enough).
• Working with

  international clients

  (US, Europe, etc.).
• Tools like

  Confluence, Slack, GitHub, Bitbucket

  .
• Familiarity with concepts like:

• Velocity, burndown charts, capacity planning, release planning

  .
