Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Merchandising Manager (Product Development) with a strong track record in UK and European markets. The role requires deep expertise in garment development, client coordination, and end-to-end product execution across women’s and kidswear categories.

Key Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fashion/Apparel Design, Fashion Technology, Textile Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 14–15 years of hands-on experience in garment product development, with a focus on women’s and kidswear.
• Proven experience working with UK and European brands and buyers; prior international market exposure is essential.
• Strong ability to create fashion sketches and technical flat drawings.
• In-depth knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, fit, trims, wash techniques, and finishing standards.
• Demonstrated experience in direct client handling, including virtual meetings, presentations, and ongoing follow-ups with international buyers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of global fashion trends, seasonal calendars, and costing frameworks.
• Proficiency in PLM systems, MS Excel, Adobe Illustrator, and other relevant product development tools.
• Experience working with both manufacturing units and liaison/buying offices serving international markets.
