Associate Manager - Consumer Risk Investigations

Associate Manager/Manager, Consumer Risk investigations at PhonePe woud have the foowing core responsibiities:In charge of managing a team of Investigation speciaists who investigate transactions/accounts across various PhonePe products and take appropriate actions based on processes, toos and high-judgment decisions.Provide eadership and administrative support to his/her team and manage them to achieve and constanty exceed rea time service eves based on forecast and capacityServes as a eader and POC for resoving interna/externa escaations of a supervisory nature.Sets the vision, direction, and cuture of the team by managing individua and team performance, expectations and goas.Provides individua coaching feedback sessions and conducts weeky/monthy one-on-ones and focuses on the peope deveopment of their team.Achieves process improvement via projects that invove one or more teams within the organization. Focuses on identifying key areas for improving trust and safety for PhonePe patform, improving customer experience by minimizing friction that might be caused due to risk mitigation measures.Formuation & impementation of Poicies and Procedures to govern risks.Cutivate strong risk cuture by creating risk awareness at a eves using structured training programsTimey and accurate reporting of risks to Senior Management and stakehodersConduct risk assessments for new projects/initiatives and change management with a view to pre-assess risksDefine appropriate KRIs with threshods and monitor vioations for identified risks Promote sharing of Best Practices across OperationsEnsure up-to-date knowedge and adherence to reguatory requirements and industry best practices within the team, guiding and training team members as neededThe Key to success in this roe is the abiity to understand the teams vision and raise the bar on the job core responsibiities of Operate, Continuous Improvement, Communicate and Peope Deveopment.The incumbent is required to demonstrate strong performance in the foowing areas:Keeps abreast of fraud trends and other risk issues impacting the Payment Systems. Ensures that PhonePe eads the curve in identifying and preventing new fraud patterns. Identifies proactive action pans to improve efficiency and reduces time to detect new fraud Modus Operandi.Deivers significant business impacts and continuous improvement to quaity, productivity and customer experience. Works with Anaytics, Product and Tech teams to articuate and prioritize feature needs for the investigation too sets. Consistenty demonstrates timey deivery of projects on roadmap to support the department vision.Deveops the Performance eves and skis of the team through continuous cosure of performance feedback oops. Possesses the abiity to recruit exceent team members into their team. Communicates effectivey to aign organizationa goas with individua goasDesired Quaifications and Skis set:
The idea candidate shoud have 7-10 years of Operations experience. This experience shoud preferaby contain 3-5 years of Peope Management , additiona experience in Program/Project management adds further vaue to the candidature . Domain expertise in payments/fintech is an added advantage and wi be preferred. This roe requires the candidate to possess the abiity to conduct exceent deep dives and function in an ambiguous, fast paced work environment in order to come up with in-depth understanding of fraud MOs, impacts on customer ifecyce journey across various products and devise mitigation strategiesRoe :
Reevant 7-10 years of industry experience across Operations, Risk, Fraud investigations etc.Proven experience across the domain of Risk management , Investigations and Fraud PreventionStrong ora and written communication skis is a mustTeam payer; abiity to interface and buid reationships at a eves internay and externay Project management/Program management capabiity to ead strategic projects to drive cosure with a sense of urgency with cross functiona stakehoders, hoding POCs accountabe for timeines and respective ownershipsStrong bias for action with exceptiona probem soving skis, candidate is expected to be abe to infuence senior stakehoders without authority and buid traction on high risk tracks for speedy resoutionBacheor degree is required to appy for this position, Masters preferredAdvanced working knowedge of MS Office, SQL Abiity to crunch data and generate meaningfu insights on risk trends
