What are the Key Deliverables in this role
Financial Outcomes
- To upgrade the manufacturing plants and CFAs basis the deficiencies identified during the audits and create positive impact on the reduction of cost of poor quality (market returns, process waste and rejections)
- To work closely with procurement team for strategic sourcing, vendor consolidation and contract optimization to realize the cost benefits while ensuring the right first time quality
Market / Customer Complaint
- Prioritizing the plant audit based on the critical complaints and regulatory non-compliance.
- To collaborate with the operations and quality team of the plants in reviewing the market complaints and their correlation with the historical findings during the audits and arrive upon the solution to prevent the recurrence in future.
Internal Processes
- Make an annual planner for audits covering critical manufacturing plants and vendors and execute the audits by assigning auditors from the pool of trained audits.
- To extend backend support to the audit team, manufacturing plant and CFA teams for smooth execution of the audit as per plan.
- Drive digitization of the Audits and CAPA Management.
- Follow up and review of the investigation and CAPA reports for the audits till the successful closure of all the findings.
- Flag the critical findings of the audit and ensure timely escalation to all relevant CFTs and Management.
- Quarterly review of audit plan compliance, and plant, vendor performance with key stakeholders.
- Work along with a procurement team to identify and approve the new vendors and ensure smooth onboarding, considering all quality and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and handhold the unapproved vendor, which is a business priority, and upgrade it up to TCPL requirements.
- Develop and execute the vendor rating system to continuously monitor the performance of the existing vendors based on quality, cost and delivery performance.
Innovation and Learning
- Responsible for maintaining the pool of auditors by training and other capability enhancement initiatives to build and sustain auditor s capability.
- Ensure periodic auditor calibration to maintain consistency in the auditing process.
- Map the benefits of audits and vendor management with reduction in customer complaints, product failures and market returns to realize the cost savings and present the same to management as MIS
What are the Critical success factors for the Role
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder management.
- 6+ Years of total Foods / Beverage experience along with 5+years of experience in Audits and vendor management.
- Science graduates with M. Sc. / B. Tech (Food Technology) additional food safety certifications like FSSC etc
- This role requires extentive travelling to units of TCPL, vendor sites, gardens
