Job Description

Role Overview: As an Associate Engineer at United Airlines, you will be challenged to provide support for a wide range of aircraft systems, maintenance programs, engines, and operational engineering functions. Your responsibilities will include understanding, analyzing, and seeking solutions to the design, operation, maintenance, performance, or repair of aircraft and their components. You must be able to logically approach problem-solving, define aircraft maintenance programs or configurations, and ensure safe and legal operations. Additionally, you will evaluate the benefits and cost impact of projects that can be implemented on the aircraft. Your role will involve working with both internal and external customers on technical issues, work scope recommendations, and failure investigations. As you gain critical experience in aircraft programs, the complexity of your project work will increase. You may be assigned to work in various engineering departments based on current needs. Key Responsibilities: - Review Service Bulletins (SBs) from airframe manufacturers or component manufacturers for effectivity to the United Fleet - Develop solutions and implementation plans, project justifications, cost/benefit analysis, and overall management of project implementation, including obtaining FAA approvals and coordinating warranty recovery on applicable SBs - Proactively communicate and engage with domestic engineering team members to ensure daily work assignments are on track and aligned with goals - Organize and manage priorities for assigned responsibilities, ensuring the work process meets all deliverables for projects on both line and base aircraft, maintenance program changes, and technical specification revisions - Coordinate work with other operational groups to ensure airworthiness, safety, regulatory compliance, operational reliability, and operational efficiency - Participate in development and training through virtual, onsite sessions, and independent learning modules Qualification Required: - Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical) - 0-1 years of entry-level experience; university graduate - Strong written and oral communication skills, data-focused, able to work in a team environment, project management, analytical skills - Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship - Must be fluent in English (written and spoken) - Successful completion of an interview required to meet job qualifications - Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position (Note: The job description does not provide any additional details about the company.)
