Job Description

The incumbent has to lead the product management initiatives of equity segment with specific focus on institutional segment. Tailor the platform and product solutions in close coordination with IT, Operations and risk teams Prepare the Functional Specification Document / Business Requirement Document. Work closely with the vendors and do User acceptance testing of relevant product releases. Keep track of and Implement the Exchange / SEBI Guidelines in order to meet the compliance in timely manner. Incumbent should have deep understanding equity market, its platform and processes. Should have an overall understanding of Institutional Desk its working process and flow. Brand Strengthen SCSI s proposition by offering innovative products and solutions of equity segment Key Responsibilities In addition incumbent will play active role in devising overall equity product management strategy across all segments Strategy Manage strategic intent of the organization in terms equity products proposition Business Co-own the revenue targets for the specific products and business segments Internal SCSI Wealth Processes Excellent domain understanding of equity segment Should have an overall understanding of Institutional Desk its working process and flow. Good interpersonal skills with demonstrated abilities in networking with cross-functional teams Problem solving supported by both in and out of the box thinking Understanding of processes related with exchange listed contracts Risk Management To ensure compliance with Group Policies and Standards, local laws and regulations as well as all controls and procedures laid down by the entity Governance Have strong knowledge of local regulations and initiatives of local industry bodies to ensure the business is ahead of the regulatory change Proactively engage business & functional partners / stakeholders to drive the origination product offerings Regulatory & Business Conduct Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group s Values and Code of Conduct. Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct. Lead the INDIA - CPBB - WM - SCSI - Products to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank s Conduct Principles: [Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.] Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters. Key stakeholders MD & CEO - SCSI Head, WM - SCB Head MI-SCB Head-Product Management-SCSI Head - Business Head - CFCC Head - Legal Head - Risk Head - Ops Head - IT COFO Global Chief Investment Officer Skills and Experience Products and Processes Market Knowledge (SIF) Regulatory Framework and Requirements (SIF) Manage Conduct Manage People Manage Risk Qualifications Post Graduate/MBA 12-15 years experience in BFSI industry (product/segment role preferred) Strong grasp on investment advisory Good knowledge of financial products with responsibilities for revenue, product development, process, systems and risk management.
