Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Content Design & Development

o Translate learning objectives and instructional design frameworks into content

outlines, storyboards, scripts, participant materials, job aids, assessments,

quizzes, case studies, etc.

o Create / adapt training materials for multiple delivery modes (classroom /

virtual / e-learning / blended).

o Use multimedia elements (graphics, infographics, audio, video, interactive

elements) to enrich learning experiences.

o Ensure content aligns with adult learning principles, accessibility standards,

and the institute’s style / branding guidelines.

2. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

o Partner with SMEs, trainers, and operations teams to gather inputs, validate

content accuracy, and incorporate feedback.

o Facilitate review cycles (internal reviews, SME reviews, pilot feedback) and

revise content accordingly.

o Support rollout planning by coordinating with TPSDI’s training centers,

principals and trainers so that content is ready for delivery in scheduled

batches.

3. Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

o Review existing content periodically and update / refresh to keep it current,

relevant, and aligned with industry changes.

o Ensure consistency in tone, clarity, grammar, and design across all modules.

4. Learning Technology & Tools Usage

o Upload, configure, and manage content on internal content repositories and

Learning Management Systems (LMS).

o Understand and leverage various content authoring tools and AI to improve

productivity of content development and delivery.

5. Assessment & Evaluation

o Design formative and summative assessments (quizzes, assignments, project

tasks) to measure learning outcomes.

6. Documentation & Version Control

o Update and maintain a content repository / version control system for all

learning assets. This is a primary responsibility for this role.

o Document changes, rationale, and feedback.

o Ensure that all files, templates, and resources are well organized and

accessible to the team.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Category Requirements

Education Bachelor’s degree in education, Instructional Design, English,

Communications, Media, or related field

OR

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a flair for language

and writing

Experience 1–3 years of experience in training content development, curriculum

design, instructional design, or e-learning content creation

Technical / Tools Understanding of how to use AI tools for content design and

development.

Good to have, and not strictly necessary:

Working knowledge of e-learning authoring tools (Articulate

Storyline, Rise, Captivate, etc.) Familiarity with LMS (uploading,

structuring courses) Basic proficiency in graphic tools (PowerPoint,

Illustrator / Photoshop / Canva) Comfort with multimodal content

formats (video, audio, infographics)

Instructional

Design

Understanding of adult learning theories, ADDIE, instructional

design principles, Bloom’s taxonomy, etc.

Communication &

Language

Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills in English (and

possibly a local language, if needed) Ability to present complex

ideas simply and clearly

Analytical &

Feedback

Orientation

Ability to interpret SME inputs, learner feedback, performance

metrics, and make iterative improvements

Project

Management

Strong planning, organizing, time management; ability to juggle

multiple content development tasks and meet deadlines

Collaboration

Skills

Comfortable working with SMEs, trainers, cross-functional

stakeholders; open to feedback and iteration

Attention to Detail Rigour in ensuring accuracy, consistency, quality, formatting,

version control

Adaptability &

Learning Mindset

Willingness to learn new tools, keep up with trends in learning

technologies, and experiment with new pedagogies

Preferred / Desirable Attributes

 Experience in the domain or subject area(s) relevant to TPSDI’s training (e.g.

technical skills, soft skills, Power sector and Renewable Energy knowledge).

 Exposure to multimedia production (video editing, audio recording, animation)

 Prior experience in vocational training / skills institutes

 Ability to manage and work independently

 Ability to work with difficult and demanding stakeholders

Performance Indicators / Metrics

 Number of training modules / hours of content developed and delivered

 Update and maintain a content repository with all training modules

 Timely delivery and update of content

 Reduction in rework / number of revisions

 Content reuse / modularity (how many modules are reused across batches)

 Updates / refresh cycles for existing content

Working Conditions

 The role will involve tight deadlines and multiple simultaneous projects

 Occasional visits or travel (to training centres) for content validation / piloting,

meeting SMEs

 Work is at a location and there is no or very limited hybrid / remote work possible

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,976.52 per month
