Assistant SCM Manager

Job Title: Assistant Manager – Supply Chain Management (SCM)

Experience Required: 4–7 years (including hands-on experience with Reefer Van operations)
Salary Range: up to 6 LPA

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Manager – SCM with a strong background in cold chain logistics, specifically Reefer Van management, to oversee and optimize our temperature-controlled transportation operations. This role involves planning, coordinating, and monitoring the movement of perishable goods to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end operations of Reefer Vans, ensuring timely and temperature-controlled delivery of perishable goods.
Optimize routing, scheduling, and utilization of Reefer Vans to reduce transportation costs and enhance service levels.Monitor temperature logs, GPS tracking, and ensure real-time visibility of cold chain shipments.Coordinate with vendors, transporters, and internal teams for timely dispatches and deliveries.Develop and implement SOPs for reefer logistics, preventive maintenance, and contingency plans.Ensure compliance with cold chain standards, FSSAI norms, and relevant regulatory requirements.Analyze logistics performance metrics and prepare regular MIS reports related to cold chain distribution.Drive continuous improvement initiatives in cold storage transportation and packaging solutions.Collaborate with warehouse, and distribution teams for seamless supply chain operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degreeMinimum 4 years of experience in supply chain logistics, with at least 2 years in Reefer Van/cold chain management.
Strong knowledge of cold chain compliance, temperature monitoring systems, and refrigerated logistics.Proficient in logistics software, fleet tracking tools, and MS Excel.Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Preferred : Experience in QSR, FMCG, dairy, pharma, or food distribution industries.
