Assistant Restaurant Manager - Fine Dine

An assistant restaurant manager supports the restaurant manager with daily operations, including supervising staff, managing inventory, handling customer service, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Key duties involve hiring, training, and scheduling employees, as well as assisting with financial controls like budgeting and payroll. Core responsibilities

• Staff management: Hire, train, supervise, and schedule restaurant staff to ensure proper service and coverage. This includes providing ongoing training, performance feedback, and conflict resolution.
• Operational oversight: Assist with daily restaurant operations, which may include opening and closing procedures, maintaining cleanliness, and managing the overall flow of service.
• Customer service: Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback to ensure a positive dining experience and build customer loyalty.
• Inventory and supply management: Monitor inventory levels, conduct stock checks, and assist with ordering supplies and managing vendor relationships to control costs.
• Financial management: Help with financial controls by assisting with budgeting, managing cash registers, processing payroll, and tracking sales and expenses.
• Compliance and quality control: Ensure the restaurant adheres to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations. This also includes maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.

Qualifications and skills

• A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required, though a degree in hospitality is often preferred.
• Experience in a supervisory role, ideally in the restaurant or QSR industry, is usually necessary.
• Essential skills include strong leadership, communication, and customer service abilities.
• Organizational skills and the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment are crucial.
