Assistant Professor of Law

About the Role:

BMLC is inviting applications for the position of Assistant Professor in Law. We seek dynamic, qualified, and committed individuals passionate about teaching, mentoring students, and contributing to academic excellence in legal education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach undergraduate (LL.B.) and postgraduate (LL.M.) law courses as assigned.
• Design and deliver lectures, tutorials, and seminars in accordance with the curriculum.
• Supervise students’ research projects, dissertations, and moot court activities.
• Engage in academic research and contribute to publications and conferences.
• Participate in curriculum development and institutional academic initiatives.
• Support the college’s mission by mentoring students and promoting professional ethics.
• Attend faculty meetings, workshops, and other academic events.

Minimum Qualifications:

• NET (National Eligibility Test) Qualified in Law OR
• Ph.D. in Law from a recognized university (as per UGC norms).

Preferred Qualifications / Experience:

• Teaching or research experience in a recognized law college or university.
• Strong understanding of various branches of law (e.g., Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Corporate Law, etc.).
• Published research papers in reputed law journals.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.

Skills Required:

• Strong academic knowledge and legal reasoning ability.
• Effective classroom management and student engagement.
• Familiarity with modern teaching methods and legal research tools.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹24,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
