Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Professor in Computer Science at Amity University, located in the Greater Kolkata Area. The role involves delivering high-quality teaching and mentoring to students, developing and updating curriculum, conducting research, and publishing in reputed journals. The successful candidate will also participate in student advising, departmental activities, and fostering industry collaboration to ensure a practical, skill-oriented learning environment.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in core Computer Science disciplines, including theoretical and applied aspects.
• Proficiency in advanced concepts such as Data Science and Cybersecurity.
• Demonstrated experience in Programming and the ability to teach programming languages effectively.
• Skills in Curriculum Development and the ability to design engaging, industry-relevant coursework.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to guide and mentor students effectively.
• PhD in Computer Science or a related field is preferred; candidates with a master’s degree and significant experience may also be considered.
• Proven research and publication record in relevant areas is highly desirable.
• Commitment to staying updated with the latest developments in technology and academic best practices.
