Assistant Professor-Computer Applications

Role & responsibilities

• Teaching & Instruction:

  Conduct lectures, tutorials, and lab sessions for BCA students, and prepare and distribute educational content.

• Curriculum Development:

  Assist in designing and updating course content to align with current technological advancements and industry needs.

• Student Mentorship:

  Guide and mentor students on academic projects, research, and career planning.

• Assessment:

  Evaluate student performance through various methods, including assignments, exams, and projects.

• Industry & Trend Awareness:

  Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate relevant information into the curriculum and teaching methods.

• Departmental & Institutional Contribution:

  Participate in departmental meetings, collaborate with colleagues, and assist in organizing academic events and workshops.

• Research:

  Engage in scholarly activities and research to contribute to the academic community and institutional goals.

Preferred candidate profile

• Subject Matter Expertise:

  A strong command of core BCA subjects such as programming languages (Java, Python, C++), database management, and software development.

• Teaching & Communication:

  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively teach, inspire, and mentor students.

• Technology:

  Proficiency with ICT tools and other educational technologies to enhance teaching methodologies.

• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:

  The ability to analyze complex problems and apply solutions, a crucial skill in the field of computer applications.

• Experience:

  Proven experience in teaching at the undergraduate level and often includes a Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
