Assistant Operations Manager

Job Summary: The Assistant Manager will be responsible for sourcing, vendor management, and client handling within the procurement sector, with a specific focus on MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) items. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, a keen understanding of market trends, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop relationships with vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery of MRO items.
• Source and evaluate potential suppliers to meet company procurement needs.
• Handle client enquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
• Monitor market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and vendor performance.
• Capable of handling a team of Executives and monitoring the RFQ-Quote TATs, PO punch TATs, and ensuring all KPIs are achieved.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in procurement or vendor management.
• Strong understanding of MRO items and their applications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
