Assistant Operations Manager Export/Import

In this role, you will assist in planning and coordinating all export activities to ensure timely and accurate delivery of shipments. You will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and managing export documentation including invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and bills of lading. Your role will also involve ensuring compliance with international trade laws, customs regulations, and export control regulations. Additionally, you will coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and other logistics providers to track shipments and proactively resolve any issues or delays. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in planning and coordinating all export activities - Prepare, review, and manage export documentation - Ensure compliance with international trade laws and regulations - Coordinate with logistics providers and resolve shipment issues - Maintain accurate export records - Support negotiation of freight rates and service agreements - Monitor export performance metrics - Collaborate with internal departments - Assist in managing export-related audits and inspections Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field - 2+ years of experience in export operations or international logistics - Familiarity with Incoterms, customs clearance procedures, and international trade regulations - Knowledge of documentation for sea, air, and land shipments - Strong organizational and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and coordination abilities - Proficiency in MS Office and experience with ERP or export documentation systems The company prefers candidates with experience working with global markets (e.g., Middle East, Europe, Asia, Africa), knowledge of export compliance tools and platforms, certification in export management or supply chain, and fluency in multiple languages.
