Job Description

 
Tax Compliance & Reporting
  • Prepare, review, and file accurate and timely corporate tax returns and direct tax reports across EMEA jurisdictions.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of tax-related financial data and footnotes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards (e.g., ASC 740).
Audit & Risk Management
  • Lead support for internal and external tax audits by providing documentation, addressing queries, and ensuring audit readiness.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and risk mitigation within the tax function.
Tax Planning & Advisory
  • Collaborate with onshore tax teams to ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
  • Support the development and implementation of tax planning strategies to optimize tax positions and minimize risks.
Research & Analysis
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations across key EMEA countries (e.g., Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Spain).
  • Conduct research and provide insights on tax implications for business operations and transactions.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Build effective relationships with cross-functional teams, external advisors, and tax authorities to ensure smooth tax operations.
  • Communicate complex tax concepts clearly to non-tax professionals.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead onboarding, training, and upskilling of junior team members and new graduates.
  • Develop training materials and deliver knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Actively bridge the knowledge gap between the Direct Tax Manager and the team through effective knowledge transfer.
The Experience You Bring
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years in a tax role, preferably within a GBS environment focused on EMEA tax compliance.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of EMEA tax regulations and international tax accounting principles.
    • Proficiency in tax software (e.g., TRCS, ONESOURCE Corp Tax), data analytics tools (e.g., Alteryx, Power BI), and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle Cloud).
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Effective verbal and written communication.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience in mentoring and developing junior team members.
