Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Import Operations:

  • Freight Negotiation: Negotiate and secure cost-effective freight rates with forwarders for importing goods, including materials and machinery (new or repaired).
  • Forwarder Selection: Assess and appoint the most reliable and cost-effective freight forwarders.
  • Clearance Management: Provide comprehensive support for port clearance and manage interactions with customs brokers and authorities.
  • Demurrage Prevention: Take preventive measures to avoid demurrage charges by ensuring timely and efficient clearance and coordination.
  • Import Documentation: Prepare, review, and manage necessary import documents such as Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Import General Manifest (IGM), and compliance certificates.

Export Operations:

  • Freight Negotiation: Negotiate favourable rates with forwarders for export shipments.
  • Container Management: Coordinate container stuffing and ensure proper handling and secure packaging.
  • Port Clearance: Facilitate export clearance at Indian ports and provide necessary assistance to customers at the destination port.
  • Export Documentation: Manage essential export documentation, including Bill of Lading, Packing List, Commercial Invoice, Certificate of Origin, and Letter of Credit documents.
  • Financial Follow-up: Monitor and follow up on RoDTEP claims, duty drawbacks, and GST refunds related to export transactions.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of international trade regulations, including customs procedures, GST norms, and EXIM policies.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements for import and export activities.

Financial and Administrative Oversight:

  • GST Refunds: Oversee the timely submission and tracking of GST refunds for exported goods.
  • RoDTEP & Drawback Claims: Follow up on claims to ensure receipt of eligible financial benefits.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to ensure all import/export-related expenses and claims are accurately documented and processed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in international logistics operations, including imports, exports, and financial claim processes.
  • Proficiency in logistics and supply chain software and MS Office tools.
  • Experience in handling customs documentation and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.16 per month
