Job Description

You will be joining KPMG in India, a professional services firm affiliated with KPMG International Limited. Established in August 1993, KPMG in India has offices across the country and offers services to national and international clients across various sectors. As an AM Contracts, your role will involve post-qualification legal experience, especially as in-house counsel for a multinational company. Your responsibilities will include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating client/third party contracts, understanding risk management policies, working independently to deliver high-quality work, and collaborating with stakeholders to provide business-friendly solutions. Additionally, you will need to liaise with internal teams, gain deep understanding of legal concepts, work under tight deadlines, negotiate contractual matters, update SOP, and ensure compliance with the firm's risk management policies. Key Responsibilities: - Draft, review, and negotiate client/third party contracts - Liaise with internal stakeholders and senior management to resolve complex contractual issues - Provide clarifications on legal concerns to senior management and business teams - Work within legal and risk framework to ensure smooth closure of contracts - Negotiate with clients/third parties and escalate critical matters internally - Update SOP, train junior team members, and support in simplifying processes - Maintain accuracy and integrity in all dealings to avoid undue risk exposure Qualifications Required: - 6+ years of relevant legal experience - Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools - Familiarity with legal and productivity technology tools - Strong executive presence, communication, and relationship skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment - Self-motivated and capable of working autonomously - Good written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills - Keen sense of responsibility and professional standards Please note that this job description includes information about KPMG in India, its services, and equal employment opportunity details.
