Job Description

As an Assistant Manager in Resource Management, your role will involve working closely with Unit Leadership and HR to drive resource management and workforce planning for a 700-member unit. You will partner with delivery managers to assess business needs, forecast resource demand across projects, and ensure the right skills are available at the right time. Your strong communication, planning, and organizing skills will be essential in fulfilling the following key responsibilities: - Drive capacity planning and forecasting for a large unit with 700+ staff. - Develop career plans and engage employees for their career development. - Allocate and de-allocate staff to projects effectively. - Manage bench and improve utilization through internal mobility and deployment processes. - Coordinate with HR for skilling, re-skilling, and talent mobility. - Collaborate with recruitment teams to meet staffing requirements. - Monitor and report on hiring, utilization, capacity, and bench metrics to senior management. - Ensure unit-level processes align with organization-wide HR and Resource Management practices. To excel in this role, you should possess 6-8 years of IT industry experience, with at least 3 years in workforce/resource management or related HR operations. Exposure to workforce analytics, process design, and resource management tools is desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and Word is necessary, and experience with Power BI/MS Project is an added advantage. Strong analytical skills and a good understanding of project management practices and workforce planning frameworks will be beneficial. The position is based in Trivandrum / Cochin.
