Job Description

Spinning & Twisting - Process control, Inspection and testing of Raw material, Process of sourcing units at all stages, up to the end product, which is to be confirmed with assured quality as per the Coats groups specific requirement.
To ensure the agreed yarn quality of the incoming sourced thread.
To fulfill the compliance requirements for raw material and grey thread.
Facilitate all certifications as per the customer requirement.
To regularly visit the convertor units along with their sub-convertor units to check the in-process quality and production at every stage. Also to ensure SOP adherence.

Principal Accountabilities:

Monitor the live processes closely and to assure the product quality against the target.
To improve the performance of the process based on the customer feedback.
To reduce customer complaints by a systematic approach.
Follow-up of new sample developments.
Follow up of process-oriented trials.
Follow up on raw material arrival lots for their quality evaluation and confirm the specified target.
To ensure the prompt delivery of goods with specified quality.
To monitor/support the activities of the testing labs at our manufacturing sites.
To assist in ensuring the physical stock verification at twice in a year.
To develop new convertors & sub-convertors and audit them frequently.
To troubleshoot in-house as we'll as sourcing units of manufacturing processes.
To support the certification process of BIS/GRS in subcontracting units.

Qualification & Experience:

Bachelor s degree in Textile (Preferred B.Tech Textile).
6-10 years experience in spinning & twisting and quality.
Method & manufacturing of cotton/polyester yarns (other than sewing - normal, compact, Eli-twist, gassed & mercerised), core spun and polyester (SSP and Dope dyed in Coats).
Principles and working of all yarn testing instruments - QAD.
Working knowledge in the overview of whole spinning & twisting machines

Desirable

:

ISO, 5s & TPM.
Analytical skills on reports with 6 Sigma tools.
GRS/GOTS certification procedures.
Collaborate with the team
