Assistant Manager - Purchase

As an Assistant Manager Purchase at Vishal Builders, your role will involve overseeing procurement operations, vendor coordination, ERP-based purchase management, and ensuring timely availability of materials for ongoing projects. Key Responsibilities: - Manage end-to-end procurement of construction materials, goods, and services in line with project requirements and budgets. - Handle procurement processes through ERP systems, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting. - Maintain strong knowledge of building materials, suppliers, and pricing trends to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness. - Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, evaluate vendor performance, and resolve any quality, delivery, or billing issues. - Prepare, issue, and track POs to ensure timely deliveries and compliance with company policies. - Regularly follow up with vendors, project sites, and internal teams to ensure material availability and avoid delays. - Negotiate terms, prices, and delivery schedules with vendors to secure favorable deals. - Compile procurement data and provide reports on material requirements, inventory levels, and vendor performance. - Liaise with project sites to understand material needs and ensure smooth supply chain operations. - Carry out additional tasks assigned by management as required. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field. - Minimum 4-6 years of procurement experience, preferably in the construction/infrastructure sector. - Strong knowledge of building materials, ERP systems, and procurement processes. - Good negotiation and vendor management skills. - Strong communication, follow-up, and organizational skills.
