You are an experienced and detail-oriented Purchase Executive responsible for independently managing procurement of packaging materials and handling complete costing, budgeting, and evaluation for CAPEX-related purchases. Your role involves strong analytical skills, vendor management experience, and expertise in cost comparison & negotiation for packaging and capital equipment items. Key Responsibilities: - Procurement & Sourcing - Handle end-to-end purchasing of packaging materials (boxes, pouches, labels, shrink, liners, straps, etc.). - Source, evaluate, and finalize vendors based on quality, cost, and delivery capability. - Conduct market research to identify price trends and new suppliers. - Costing & Budgeting - Prepare detailed costing sheets for packaging materials and CAPEX items. - Analyse material consumption, wastage, specifications, and historical data to estimate accurate costs. - Prepare CAPEX project costing, ROI calculation, and cost-benefit analysis. - CAPEX Management - Evaluate quotations, technical specifications, and commercial proposals for new machinery, molds, and equipment. - Coordinate with production & engineering teams for technical requirements and approvals. - Prepare comparative statements (technical + commercial) for management decision-making. - Negotiation & Vendor Coordination - Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and ensure timely deliveries. - Organize vendor audits and performance reviews. - Documentation & Compliance - Ensure proper documentation of purchase orders, approvals, and vendor agreements. - Follow company procurement policies & maintain accurate MIS reports. - Handle GRN follow-ups, bill clearing, and rate approvals. Required Skills & Competencies: - Strong knowledge of costing of packaging materials and understanding of specifications. - Experience in CAPEX procurement, costing, and comparison. - Excellent negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills. - Good knowledge of MS Excel, costing templates, SAP/ERP (preferred). - Strong communication & coordination abilities. Qualification & Experience: - Qualification: Graduate / Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Supply Chain (preferred). - Experience: 25 years in purchase, packaging material procurement & CAPEX costing (preferably in plastic manufacturing or FMCG/packaging industries).
