Role & responsibilities

Overall management for all purchase Goods, materials, components, or services
(electrical, mechanical and other related components) nationally & internationally withendeavour to improve on specified cost whilst ensuring quality and delivery targets aremet. (KPI)• Prepare, undertake, and evaluate quotations from potential suppliers.• Raising and processing of orders on system, ensuring internal approval and signingexpenditure/cost rules and procedures are followed.• Develop the trend to achieve specific cost reduction or lead time reduction targets.• Where appropriate develop VMI (vendor management inventory) on common parts andcommodities.• Development of new and existing suppliers to deliver greater efficiency and thereforesavings. Explore alternate sources for goods and materials globally.• Establish working contracts, negotiate contracts, improved prices and terms of businesswith suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilising negotiationand procurement best practice tools and methods.• Manage and develop subcontracting suppliers for applicable components confirming thequality and required delivery met.

Assess and evaluate suppliers by maintaining prices, quality, delivery schedules and
supplier performance reports on monthly basis.• Manage stock levels and the operation of the stores function.• Manage, coach and mentor the Supply Chain team and store team to increase both theirindividual and collective capabilities.• Proactively and strategically undertake value enhancing purchasing negotiations with allparties to deliver year on year benefits.• Ensure that a professional, consistently, and continuously improving approach is takenin relation to all supplier relationships.• Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery, or invoice related issues, asapplicable.• Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supplyproblems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations.• Collaborate with production and planning colleagues to ensure that materials areavailable in the right quantity at the right time. Form No: INDEXS-FORM-000013REV1• Work with the technical department to evaluate areas of opportunity for cost reductionwhere possible.• Full involvement, specifically with the technical department on sourcing components forprojects.• Conducting annual & periodic reviews and trend analysis with action plan.• Work closely with the EXHEAT management team to ensure that objectives and KPIs aremonitored and recorded with any changes and adjustments made to suit the business goals.
