●Job Title – Asst. Manager (Plant Quality In-charge)
Designation’ll be vary based on candidate exposure & experience●Location – Pune●Years of Experience – 8 to 13 YearsIndustry type - Automotive Parts Machining ●Reporting to – Pune Operations Head & Corporate Quality HeadAbout the company – https://www.craftsmanautomation.com/About the job:The Successful candidate will be responsible for oversees and enhances the implementation of QMS standards processes, working to ensure products and processes conform to regulatory and customer requirements. This role manages In-process quality & final product quality operations, leads a team and act as a primary contact for customers, coordinates cross-functional improvement initiatives, and assures compliance with recognized standards.Key duties and responsibilities:• Implement, maintain, and continually improve the plant’s Quality Management System as per ISO/IATF/industry standards.• Define and monitor in-process inspection and testing plans.• Ensure quality checks are carried out at all critical stages of production.• Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques and maintain process capability.• Identify root causes of deviations and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).• Ensure finished goods meet customer and regulatory requirements before dispatch.• Prepare quality reports and communicate with relevant stakeholders.• Act as the primary contact for customer quality issues, complaints, and audits.• Lead investigation and corrective actions for customer complaints.• Provide timely feedback and quality reports to customers.• Support customer-specific requirements and documentation.• Identify opportunities for process improvements to reduce defects and waste.• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA), FMEA, and problem-solving (8D, PDCA) activities• Supervise quality inspectors, lab technicians, and auditors.• Provide training and guidance on quality standards and inspection techniques.• Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly quality performance reports.• Monitor KPIs such as rejection rate, customer complaints, and first-pass yield.Required skills and qualifications :• DME or B.E in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering or equivalent engineering• Preferably Automotive /Automobile industries where heavy Component Machining is involved.• Sound Machining knowledge which includes Tools, Machines, Fixtures & Process.• Expertise in Systems & Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor in ISO 9001:2015, IATF16949:2016 & ISO 14001:2015.• Expertise in Problem Solving Techniques like 8D, QC Story & Six Sigma.• Sound Knowledge in Core tools like PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC & FMEA.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Desired Characteristics :• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.• Ability to learn, analyse, plan and implement programs to deliver the performance quality improvements & developments.Let’s join together to make a great quality culture, not just a check point.Share your resume to hrd_u3@craftsmanautomation.com#CraftsmanAutomationisHiring #PlantQualityIn-Charge #Automotiveindustry #In-ProcessQuality #FinalProductQuality #QualityFirst #QualityMatters #ManufacturingExcellence
