Job Description

Role & responsibilities 1. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for sheet metal processing machines (e.g., press brakes, shearing machines, CNC laser cutting machines, stamping presses, etc.). Conduct routine inspections and predictive maintenance to avoid unplanned downtimes. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and analyze trends to enhance equipment reliability. 2. Breakdown Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in machines. Coordinate with operators and production teams to address urgent breakdowns efficiently. Ensure root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions are implemented to prevent recurring failures. 3. Spare Parts & Inventory Management: Maintain an optimal stock of critical spare parts to reduce downtime. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for the procurement of maintenance-related materials. Optimize maintenance costs by ensuring effective inventory control. 4. Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company policies. Conduct risk assessments and implement safety improvements in the maintenance process. Train and guide the maintenance team on safe work practices. 5. Team Management & Coordination: Lead and guide a team of maintenance technicians and supervisors. Provide training and skill development programs for maintenance staff. Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). 6. Continuous Improvement & Cost Optimization: Implement TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and lean manufacturing principles. Identify and execute energy-saving and cost-reduction initiatives. Participate in Kaizen and 5S activities for workplace efficiency. Preferred candidate profile Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field. Experience: 5+ years in industrial maintenance, preferably in sheet metal manufacturing or a similar industry. Technical Skills: Knowledge of PLCs, CNC machines, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding equipment, and industrial automation. Software: Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and MS Office. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving ability, leadership, and communication skills.
